Topic: Concerns About D2JSP Forum Gold & D3 Economy?

I'm half for, half against the idea of hoarding fg on d2jsp to use as currency to purchase items from other fresh players. I want to have the edge, but I don't want to contribute to it becoming the defacto standard for trading in Diablo 3.

If you don't do it, someone else will. I'd just say don't overindulge.

Re: Concerns About D2JSP Forum Gold & D3 Economy?

I'm pretty sure there is going to be such a huge user base that the size of the economy in D2's later years (beginning of d2jsp's heyday to date) won't even compare to the amount of people that will be playing together in D3, that D2JSP forum gold will only be useful to people already using D2JSP. Most people on D3 Battle.net will not have heard of D2JSP, and be hard pressed to be convinced to vest time (and possibly money) in a random forum on the internet running extremely dated bulletin board software.

Re: Concerns About D2JSP Forum Gold & D3 Economy?

I also just stopped over there and noticed this:

There are currently 255 user(s) browsing this forum.

Which is on their largest trade forum. I believe it's peak hour right now, so it seems their active user base has subsided greatly.

Wasn't d2jsp also a d2bot, iirc? Now they have/had "gold4items"? crazzzzy

HAHahaha, I remember that.  I'm surprised d2jsp still exists.

Re: Concerns About D2JSP Forum Gold & D3 Economy?

d2jsp in an effort to not be diabloworld decided to branch out and turn into a full fledged highly successful community.  In reality it's now only in name 'd2jsp' as it has pretty much nothing to do with the bot.

Not that I'm registered there or anything.
